Job Summary

The Meat Cutter Specialist will be responsible for cutting meats to prepare for processing or cutting, supervising other butchers and meat cutters, and training new staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, adhering to strict food safety guidelines.
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters with precision and accuracy.
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
  • Remove bones from meat, ensuring minimal waste and maximum efficiency.
  • Cut poultry into parts, meeting the high standards expected by our customers.
  • Supervise and train other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers to ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Operate band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, and slicing machines with ease and accuracy.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; prior experience in a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
