About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Farm Worker to join our team at Pennwood Dairy Inc. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fertilize and spray crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
  • Feed and tend to animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including milking systems.
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a rural area, exposed to various weather conditions, including wet and cold temperatures.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in agriculture or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
