Order Picker

**Countryside Farms** is an egg grading plant where we purchase eggs from Manitoba egg farmers, grade, package and market them to the consumer. We have been grading Manitoba-produced eggs for more than four decades, and we are looking to add the right individual to our team.

We are currently seeking an **Order picker** for Countryside Farms in Steinbach, Mb.

**The schedule will be Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (6 months term).**

- **Responsibilities**:_
- Follow company Policies and standards including Safety functions/features of equipment used
- Follow guidelines for food safety and suitability
- During order creation, inspect each case prior to being used ensuring it meets all specifications
- Prior to loading, inspect each pallet ensuring it meets all specifications
- Conduct verification procedures and the double counting method on all outgoing products
- Following proper procedures for securing containers (baskets, boxes, pallets, banding, etc.)
- Resolve discrepancies or non-compliances to products being conveyed
- Maintain quality, and timelines for shipping and receiving,
- Maintain proper stock rotation of finish products inventory through FIFO principles
- Perform general housekeeping tasks within the picking area,
- Perform general duties, and assist co-workers as required.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Ability to multitask and assist co-workers when required.
- High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with mínimal supervision in a busy environment,
- High attention to customer satisfaction and suitability to all out going products
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 80lb
- Ability to perform continuous repetitive motions (bending, twisting, turning, squatting, reaching)
- Physically capable of lifting and pushing/pulling up to 80lb, able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking, must be physically able to climb ladders/stairs, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
- Ability to lift dry packaging above shoulder height (10-15lbs)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to distinguish between different skus
- Good reading, written and oral communication skills,
- High attention to company’s Policies and health & safety rules
- WHMIS training
- Means of transportation to arrive at work

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:
