Fleet Mechanic Job Overview

Dufferin Concrete, A CRH Company is currently hiring a Fleet Mechanic to join their team. This role is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the company's fleet of heavy duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, this position will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the company's fleet of heavy duty trucks.
  • Use of leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns, ordering required parts, removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components, as well as performing maintenance schedules.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps and motors, and air brake systems are required.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will hold a 310T Mechanic License, or be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice.
  • Working on all systems of the ready mix truck, including engines, hydraulic pumps, motors and air brake systems, no two days will be the same.
  • There will be some travel to other Dufferin Concrete plants so a valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and safety first approach will be a key to success in the role.
