Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and needs, and develop individualized treatment plans using various modalities, such as exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and others.
  • Patient Education: Educate and guide patients and their families on how to prevent or cope with their condition, and encourage healthy habits and behaviors.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patients' progress and needs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient care and treatment.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in physiotherapy.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • License: Valid license to practice as a physiotherapist in the province of Alberta, Canada.
  • Insurance: Liability insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum standard.
  • Skills: Proficient in various physiotherapy techniques and modalities, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and biomechanics, ability to perform physical assessments and diagnostic tests, and ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare providers.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong ethical and professional conduct, empathetic and patient-centered approach.
