About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Clinical Education Specialist to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to lead the development and delivery of clinical education programs in an allied health setting.

Job Description

This role requires a strong background in adult education, with experience in developing and delivering educational programs for healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy, current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta or Alberta College of Occupational Therapists, and a Certificate in Adult Education. A Master's degree is preferred. AADL authorizer certification is also desired.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting best practices through staff development and education, ensuring optimal client outcomes. They will provide guidance and support to staff and students in the application of the nursing process in the provision of client care and promoting a culture of evidence-based practice and evidence-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver clinical education programs for allied health staff
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and students in the application of the nursing process
  • Promote best practices through staff development and education
  • Maintain standards of care and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta or Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
  • Certificate in Adult Education
  • AADL authorizer certification (desired)
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $45.45 and $60.87 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, pension plan, and paid time off.
