Job Description

Job Overview

The Technical Animator will collaborate with peers to design and implement animation state machines, behaviors, and runtime solutions following best practices. This role requires a strong understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and animation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and leads to create animation behavior tools and techniques for building complex movement systems.
  • Solve in-game animation implementation issues and provide technical support to the animation team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the animation pipeline and propose solutions for technical animation efficiencies.
  • Foster a positive and creative work environment that supports diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in AAA video game development with real-time animation systems.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, ideally creating animation blueprints.
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver, and excellent communicator.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Passion for the gaming industry and knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
  • Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with animation graph, state machines, IK, and control rig.
