We are looking for an experienced Project Procurement Lead to join our team at ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will play a crucial role in achieving project goals and objectives.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will provide technical liaison services between suppliers, designers, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • The incumbent will negotiate prices, discounts, and delivery arrangements with suppliers to optimize costs and meet project deadlines.
  • The Project Procurement Lead will maintain purchase order deliveries and track progress to ensure on-time delivery to schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with suppliers to evaluate their ability to meet company requirements, goals, and objectives.
  • Utilizing benchmarking data to ensure competitive pricing and identify new opportunities for cost savings.
  • Managing cost containment, product standardization, supplier consolidation, and benchmarking reports to maximize value while ensuring ATS standards are maintained or enhanced.

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in materials management or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing or equivalent is necessary.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office software, including Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
