The Event Operations Manager at Elm Hurst Inn Ltd. will oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include determining event services, implementing operational procedures, and balancing cash and completing financial reports.

Key Tasks
  • Determine Event Services: Work with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences, and develop a customized plan to meet their needs.
  • Implement Operational Procedures: Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient event execution, including inventory management, supplier negotiations, and health and safety protocols.
  • Balance Cash and Complete Financial Reports: Manage event finances, including cash handling, balance sheets, and financial reports, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Evaluate the performance of event staff and provide feedback and coaching to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Cost Products and Services: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices for event products and services, and manage event budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Enforce Provincial/Territorial Liquor Legislation and Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including liquor licensing and responsible serving practices.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage event inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies, to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Regulations are Followed: Develop and implement health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for event staff and guests.
  • Negotiate Arrangements with Suppliers: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure the best prices and services for events.
  • Negotiate with Clients for Catering or Use of Facilities: Work with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences, and develop a customized plan to meet their needs.
  • Participate in Marketing Plans and Implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans to promote events and increase revenue.
  • Leading/Instructing Individuals: Provide guidance and coaching to event staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and achieve event objectives.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns, and work to resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Provide Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to event guests, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive event experience.
  • Plan, Organize, Direct, Control and Evaluate Daily Operations: Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of daily event operations, including staff management, inventory management, and financial management.
