Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment Manager

At Mucci Farms, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety programs to improve overall awareness and safety culture within the organization.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practices.
  • Oversee environmental initiatives to minimize the organization's environmental impact.
  • Communicate and provide guidance on health and safety issues to management and employees.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and recommend preventive measures.
  • Oversee safety requirements for contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Manage the Joint Health and Safety Committee to ensure effective management of internal safety programs.
  • Represent the company during HSE inspections and audits.
Requirements:
  • University degree or post-secondary education in HSE or a closely related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and motivate employees.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and industrial hygiene knowledge are preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to speak Spanish are assets.
Physical Abilities:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong commitment to customer service excellence and adherence to all human resources, operational, and food and health safety policies and procedures.
