Front Desk Operations Manager

About the Job
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Manager to join our team at Travellers Motel.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and hire staff, providing training and support to ensure a cohesive team environment.
- Supervise staff, ensuring excellent customer service and seamless daily operations.
- Conduct performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance staff performance.
- Perform front desk duties, including checking guests in and out, handling room assignments, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring the motel's facilities and grounds are well-maintained.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist clients/guests with special needs, providing personalized support and accommodations as required.
- Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage for all shifts.
- Manage events, coordinating logistics and ensuring a positive experience for guests.
- Organize and maintain inventory, monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
Support Services
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, providing support with housing, transportation, and other essential services.
- Provide awareness training to employees, creating a welcoming work environment for youth and promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees, creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers and promoting cultural sensitivity.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training, creating a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
