Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vehicle Valuation Specialist to join our team at OpenRoad Auto Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for appraising vehicles, communicating ownership options to clients, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the dealership's goal of appraising vehicles and communicating ownership options to clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service and determine each prospective client's vehicle needs.
- Demonstrate to clients the value of their current vehicle and the value of considering an upgrade.
- Facilitate purchase paperwork for clients' vehicles based on approved appraisal values.
- Pass off clients interested in upgrading their vehicle to the sales team and ensure a seamless handoff.
- Maintain ongoing performance trackers to determine success of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Enter vehicle information into appraisal software, including photos, mileage, and condition.
- Stay up-to-date on automobile business terminology and technological changes in products and inventory.
- Be thoroughly familiar with all products, including features, specifications, prices, colors, options, and standard equipment.
- Use effective closing techniques and ask for help from management when necessary.
- Ensure clients' happiness to retain their business.
- Set goals for monthly productivity and plan how to reach those objectives.
- Attend department meetings as required.
- Follow company safety policies and practices.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer handling skills and the ability to approach customers confidently.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
- The ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong computer skills, including internet and MS Office, with the ability to maintain records using a computerized system.
- A current VSA MDC License or the willingness to obtain one.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Previous automotive experience is an asset but not a requirement.
- A valid British Columbia Driver's License with a good driving record.
