Fusion Pharmaceuticals, a member of the AstraZeneca Group, is a clinical-stage oncology company dedicated to creating innovative precision medicines. Our team is focused on developing next-generation radioconjugates (RCs) that selectively target tumors.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Analytical Scientist to join our Radiochemistry team in Hamilton, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading analytical method development, physico-chemical property assessments, and troubleshooting for a range of radioconjugates.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute analytical methods for radioconjugates, including HPLC, SEC, and LC-MS
  • Conduct stability and metabolic assessments of radioconjugates and precursors
  • Identify and develop new analytical techniques and assays to enhance existing programs
  • Translate analytical methods to manufacturing, external CROs, or collaborators
  • Support team communications through report writing, workshop presentations, and manuscript submissions
Requirements
  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 0-3 years of experience or M.Sc. with 3-8 years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, organizational skills, and evidence of continued education/upskilling
  • Strong understanding of medicinal chemistry and good laboratory practices
  • Experience with Empower and Mass Lynx software and strong computer skills
  • Proven ability to work independently with strong communication skills and attention to detail
