Job Title: Riveredge Counsellor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Riveredge Counsellor to join our team at YMCA Calgary. As a Riveredge Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing a fun, safe, and healthy environment for all campers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision to your designated group of campers at all times.
  • Provide first aid care when necessary.
  • Support group development and create a positive learning environment for all campers.
  • Plan and facilitate intentional, developmentally appropriate play-based learning activities.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment that is in good repair.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children to facilitate inclusion within outdoors-based programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification.
  • Evidence of a clear Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search.
