Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Life Skills Support Worker to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental, developmental, and/or physical disabilities to live successfully in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as light housekeeping, personal laundry, and food preparation.
  • Provide physical, emotional, and social support to clients, including advocacy and teaching/coaching.
  • Work collaboratively with the Mental Health team to implement psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) and recovery plans.
  • Transport clients to and from events, outings, appointments, and programs.
  • Engage clients and their support systems in service planning and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Diploma from a recognized Social Services Support Worker educational program.
  • Two years' recent experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Current CPR Level C and Food Safe certificates.
  • Valid Class V BC Driver's License.
