About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our team in Brampton. As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for conducting daily monitoring of inventory, maintaining a safe environment, and physical condition of the warehouse. You will also monitor inventory levels, compile reports, prepare requisition orders, and reconcile physical inventories with computer counts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting daily cycle counts of inventory
  • Maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment
  • Monitoring inventory levels and identifying discrepancies
  • Compiling inventory reports and analyzing data
  • Preparing requisition orders to replenish stock
  • Reconciling physical inventories with computer counts
  • Investigating and identifying the root cause of inventory variances

You will also interact daily with plant Operations, Planning, Shipping, and Quality Assurance departments, and act as a backup in the absence of the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. Additionally, you may be required to work on occasion with other Amir's divisions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A related University degree or college diploma, SCMP designation, or two (2) years of related inventory or purchasing work experience
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Tableau, and Sharepoint experience considered an asset
