Job Title: Retail Area Manager

The ideal candidate will provide leadership, direction, and accountability for the Retail Store Team in a designated region. As a Retail Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving results through effective sales team management, customer engagement, coaching, and mentoring using all available business KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the communication, understanding, and belief in the company's goals and mission statement.
  • Responsible for company monthly and weekly revenue and profit projections.
  • Oversee Store Managers to ensure that daily and weekly staff schedules are in direct relation to daily, weekly revenue.
  • Review monthly sales objectives and develop strategies to achieve targets.
  • Provide leadership and support for all direct reports to ensure they excel in their roles.
  • Develop a positive collaborative working relationship with staff and partners to aid company performance.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend to any emergencies as they arise at the store level and provide resolution or the appropriate level of communication.
  • Identify operational and merchandising deficiencies in all stores and provide solutions and guidance to all stores.
  • Lead any training initiatives to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Assume responsibility for job and store profitability by finding areas of improvement and implementing initiatives.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization to accomplish the company's mission.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years multi-unit experience in the retail industry, cannabis retail industry preferred.
  • CannSell Certification and Clean police record check required.
  • Cannabis Retail Store Manager license from AGCO required.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-unit operations for the region.
  • Excellent Business Math skills.
  • The ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress of all direct reports.
  • Motivate, inspire, provide, and accept feedback to and from employees.
  • The prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets.
