Critical Care Nurse: Delivering Compassionate Patient Care in Richmond

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team in Richmond. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill clients in our Intensive Care Unit.
About the RoleAs a Critical Care Nurse with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing care to clients with complex and critical illnesses. You will be responsible for assessing and managing client needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
Responsibilities- Assess and manage client needs, including those with complex and critical illnesses.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account client goals and preferences.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families, promoting healthy living and independence.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in critical care.
To be successful as a Critical Care Nurse with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will require:
- A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or two years' recent, related critical care experience.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care.
- Broad knowledge of the indications, actions, reactions, routes, dosages, and side effects of anaesthetic and other drugs used in critical care environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
