We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Tim Ring Property Management. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-construction: Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
- Construction: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction project.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
As a Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions. You will also work outdoors and in various locations, including construction sites and renovation projects.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
- Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Accurate: Ensure accuracy in measurements and construction work.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Work effectively with colleagues and supervisors to complete projects.
- Judgement: Make sound judgements in construction and maintenance situations.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in meeting project deadlines.
- Team Player: Work collaboratively with the construction team to achieve project goals.
This is a permanent position, working 35 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
