Job Summary

De Novo Treatment Centre is seeking a skilled Addictions Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our residential treatment centre, you will work closely with clients to evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and client outcomes
  • Examine client behaviour and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct client interviews and prepare case histories
  • Assess client problems and develop treatment plans
  • Record observations and maintain accurate records
  • Provide therapy and implement treatment plans
  • Perform administrative tasks and develop counselling programs
  • Liaise with community agencies and identify additional services
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
  • Computer skills: Electronic medical records, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word
  • Work conditions: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure, walking, standing for extended periods
  • Personal qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, judgement, values and ethics, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, organized, reliability, team player
