Job Summary

The Filling Line Specialist is accountable to the Production Supervisor for all filling activities relating to the manufacture of dental anesthetics to meet the company's objectives and in accordance with the requirements outlined in Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

We have job openings for the following shifts:

  • Nights - Sunday to Thursday, 10 pm to 6 am
  • Weekend Days - Friday & Monday (6 am to 2 pm), Saturday & Sunday (6 am to 6 pm)
  • Weekend Nights - Friday & Monday (10 pm to 6 am), Saturday & Sunday (6 pm to 6 am)

Responsibilities

The Filling Line Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Performing and following proper gowning procedures and maintaining gowning certification.
  • Producing safe, effective, and quality products by following approved procedures.
  • Conducting filling line operations that may include:
    • Preparation of glass and components.
    • Assembling and disassembling of the filling machine.
    • Cleaning and sanitizing of machine parts, accessories, and other equipment to prepare for autoclave.
    • Housekeeping of Filling room and area.
    • Loading and unloading steam autoclave and glass from dry-heat oven.
    • Counting the components in filling room as required.
    • Assisting with setup and start-up, loading, and transfer of components.
    • Ensuring machine operates efficiently and that the finished product meets quality standards.
  • Inspecting for physical defects and other quality infractions and rejecting defective product according to appropriate SOPs.
  • Removing finished product from the discharge area.
  • Performing IPQC and visual check.
  • Completing Batch Record and logbooks and reporting any filling problems to supervisor.
  • Informing Lead Hand of any equipment or process-related issues encountered during filling.
  • Following GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Observing and supporting all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Demonstrating the Company Mission, Vision, and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices.
  • When assigned, inspecting, labeling, and packaging filled cartridges according to the appropriate SOP.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma.
  • A minimum of one year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment, however two years or more of work experience is considered an asset.
  • Pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated mechanical experience or mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt in changing environments.
  • Strong perseverance, resiliency, accountability.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and instruction.
  • Computer literacy, able to operate HMI screens.
  • Ability to work any shift in a 24/7 work environment.
