About the Opportunity

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records, ensuring timely completion of general ledger reconciliations, consolidation, and intercompany accounts.
  • Assist in key accounting functions, including bank and investment reconciliations, invoice coding, treasury reports preparation, and analysis.
  • Prepare high-quality quarterly and annual reports for investors and stakeholders, communicating critical financial information effectively.
  • Process wire transfers and manage cash flow operations to support day-to-day business activities.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation authorities by preparing working papers and filings for HST, payroll withholding, corporate tax, etc.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, drafting financial statements, researching accounting policies, and standards during the annual audit process.
  • Support the processing of accounts payable transactions, including coding, verification, general ledger coding, cheque runs, expense tracking, and report processing.
  • Contribute to various special projects as needed, enhancing overall operational efficiency.

About You

  • Possess 1-3 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of general ledger management, reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Be CPA-enrolled or equivalent certification.
  • Real estate experience is highly valued but not essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer an estimated $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a competitive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development. The salary may vary based on location and individual qualifications.
