Job Summary

Utpala Inc. is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a carpenter. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade
  • Permanent employment
  • Ability to work 32 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial construction sites, and will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
