About the Role

This role involves providing personalized support to clients with various needs, including personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship. As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for our clients to thrive in.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their mental well-being
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organization
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks, ensuring clients' nutritional needs are met
  • Escort clients to appointments and social events, promoting their independence and mobility
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., health sciences) an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in home support or healthcare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform physical tasks as required by the role
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
