Job Summary:

The Hotel Houseperson is a key member of our hotel operations team, responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting environment for our guests. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of guest floors and linen areas, including vacuuming guest hallways daily
  • Ensure laundry for cleaning supplies is done on an assigned basis
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues in public areas
  • Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and welcoming manner
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow standard operating procedures
  • Deliver linens, cots, and extra supplies to guest rooms upon request
  • Maintain linen closets clean, stocked, and organized
  • Ensure inventory of guest room products is stocked for room attendant carts
  • Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, food and beverage trays, soiled linens, and trash
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Clean other common areas within the hotel as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience required, with a preference for hotel environment
  • Customer service experience required
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 11.5 kg or 25 lbs)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and laundry machines
  • Must have a safety mindset for self and others

Working Conditions:

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
