About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our nursing team at Clarence Creek-area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • To utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • To ensure timely and accessible admission for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and its services.
  • To ensure safe and timely resident transfers and discharges.
  • To ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all shifts.
  • To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent degree.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • To deal effectively, compassionately, and supportively with others.
  • To respect each resident's individuality, recognizing their need for self-respect and privacy, and the right to participate in decisions regarding their care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and regulations influencing the operation of the nursing home and the nursing department.
  • Medical Clearance, including TB tests, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Clear Criminal Record check.
  • All staff must provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
