Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Lead and Senior Cost Control staff in cost management efforts
  • Initiate and support tasks that drive projects forward, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction
  • Prepare and assess cost control reports, ensuring accuracy and reliability
  • Monitor job performance against forecasts, analyzing data and providing insightful reports to project management
  • Regularly reassess project scope, cost, and schedule, ensuring alignment with project team and management
  • Gather and provide data on project costs, delivering accurate total project forecasts
  • Identify deliverables, assign budgets, and track progress, calculating earned hours and progress
  • Engage with discipline leads, project leads, and management team to gather necessary information for earned value, cost, and forecast reporting
  • Report and graph updates on actual man-hours, costs invoiced, incurred, physical progress, forecast to complete, key issues, and scheduled achievements
  • Review invoices to ensure correct revenue collection and update project information accordingly
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met within assigned budgets, applying controls to adhere to procedures and actively participating in continuous improvement
  • Support the management of change processes, including change orders and change logs
  • Maintain and develop cost control systems, tools, and procedures, contributing to operational efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in industrial engineering, finance, business, or any other engineering discipline
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, with ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with adaptability to changing priorities
  • Receptiveness to coaching, knowledge sharing, and support from more experienced staff
  • Interest in cost control and experience in a similar role
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel skills and experience in Power BI, InEight, or Oracle Fusion
  • Quick learner, self-starter, and detail-oriented, with strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines, with analytical skills and commitment to health and safety
  • Goal-oriented, proactive learner, and leader by example, with openness to feedback and brand building
