**Position purpose**:
North Star Windows and Doors is one of the leading manufacturers of made to order, high quality vinyl window & door products. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking company that offers growth opportunities and exceptional learning experiences, looking for an **Accounting Analyst **to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the purpose of this position is to support all areas of accounting including General Ledger and Accounts Payable/Receivable.
**Position: Accounting Analyst (Full-Time; Permanent)**
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Assist with month end close activities
- Completion of adjusting journal entries and account reconciliations
- Reconcile daily and monthly bank transactions
- Capital project spend tracking
- Inventory reporting and analysis
- Daily sales invoicing
- Cost centre variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting
- Supporting various cost centers during the annual budget process
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Support accounts payable with general ledger account coding and purchase order review
**Key Attributes / Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Enrolled in CPA Program
- Minimum 2 years of related professional experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all people across the organization
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Exposure to Sage 300 is an asset.
- Strong attention to details, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work as a team member and independently, self-driven, adaptable, and patient.
- Ability to meet deadlines (i.e., month-end closing).
- Willingness to learn and develop within the organization
