Job Title: Indigenous Cultural Coordinator
About the Role:
The Indigenous Cultural Coordinator will play a key role in supporting and promoting cultural awareness and inclusion within School District #60 (Peace River North). This position will work closely with staff and Indigenous community members to foster a culture of understanding and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cultural awareness programs and initiatives
- Provide training and support to staff on Indigenous cultural protocols and practices
- Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous community members and organizations
- Assist in the development of culturally responsive policies and procedures
- Contribute to the creation of a culturally inclusive and welcoming environment within the district
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. A strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories, as well as experience working in a similar role, is essential.
