In this one-year, fixed-term role reporting to the region's Regional Director, you will provide professional nursing care and coordinate the delivery of chronic pain medical treatments to assigned patients in our Centre.
You will perform various tasks including providing direct nursing care, performing nursing assessments and triage of patient care needs, and educating patients and families on proper care and treatment.
The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Nursing, minimum two (2) years of related work experience, and be Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Responsibilities:
- - Provide direct nursing care for specified patients, including appropriate supportive care and administration of treatments as prescribed.
- - Perform nursing assessments and triage of patient care needs for new and ongoing patients.
- - Educate patients, families, and significant others; act as an information resource to students, health care professionals, patients, and the public.
- - Follow established policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- - Diploma in Nursing.
- - Minimum two (2) years of related work experience.
- - Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- - Hold a current BCLS.
- - RPNAO Membership - Professional Liability Insurance.
