Taxation Expert

We are a locally owned full-service CPA firm in Northern Ontario with offices in Sudbury, Timmins, and North Bay. We have over 100 staff members serving clients across various sectors, including mining and construction, manufacturing, forestry, retail and wholesale trades, professionals, and financial institutions.

Our goal is to contribute positively to the local community through our services. To achieve this, we are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Expert for our Sudbury office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with partners, managers, or other senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory engagements.
• Deliver high-quality tax planning, services, and advice.
• Lead special tax engagements.
• Support, coach, and provide professional development to firm staff regarding tax knowledge and matters.
• Prepare and present technical sessions to staff.

Requirements:

To be successful in this position, you should have:

• A minimum of 10 years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty.
• Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
• Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Masters of Tax Program.
• Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
• High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Casview, TaxPrep, and tax research software.
• Proven project management and time management skills to organize, implement, and execute projects.
• Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.

Estimated Annual Salary: $120,000-$160,000
