Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Systems Technician to join our team at Seneca. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Plan and organize diagnostics, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation work on HVAC systems and equipment.
    • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on boilers, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, and other HVAC equipment.
  • Monitoring and Reporting
    • Address and troubleshoot faults and alarms.
    • Utilize Building Automation System (BAS) data to propose and implement energy conservation initiatives.
    • Maintain inventory control, order parts, and system logs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Ontario Ministry of Skills and Development certificate of qualifications as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (License 313A).
    • Current and valid Gas Technician G1 Certification.
    • Current and valid ODP Certification.
    • Completion of an associated four-year apprenticeship.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Valid class G driver's license.
    • Basic computer literacy.
    • Experience with various building management control systems.
    • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and interpret problems for a large variety of equipment.

A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered as equivalent to the above requirements.
