Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Vice-President, College or University to join our leadership team at St. Francis Xavier University. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the academic and research initiatives of the university, ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of academic and research strategies that align with the university's mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching, research, and community engagement.
  • Oversee the administration of academic programs, including curriculum development, accreditation, and quality assurance.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the university's research initiatives, including the development of research partnerships and collaborations.
  • Work closely with the President and other senior leaders to advance the university's strategic priorities and goals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in higher education, preferably in a university or college setting.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, with a focus on academic and research initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans and initiatives.
