- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Remove bones from meat
- Weigh meats for sale
- Cut poultry into parts
- Price meat products
- Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
- Grind meats
- Train meat cutters
- Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
- Prepare special orders
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and physical stamina
Work Environment: Our meat processing facility is a cold and refrigerated environment with odours present. The successful candidate must be able to work in this environment and handle heavy loads.
