### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Package Engineer to join our team at Equinox Engineering Ltd. As a Mechanical Package Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical packages for oil and gas projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of projects on a repeatable basis.

### Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop mechanical packages for oil and gas projects
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated design and engineering deliverables
* Interface with clients, project teams, and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and assist with procurement documents
* Lead client/vendor/contractor meetings and field trips to client sites as required
* Size and select equipment, materials, and process systems
* Check vendor equipment drawings for design accuracy and compliance with specifications
* Specify, evaluate, and select oil and gas processing equipment
* Contribute to P&ID and Line Designation Table development
* Design involvement will include pipeline, pressure piping, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers
* Prepare engineering scope of work packages and work with vendors to supply mechanical equipment
* Ensure consistency and integrity of all major equipment in accordance with all codes and specifications

### Key Skills and Abilities

* Package engineering experience is a must-have
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Conventional oil, heavy oil, and SAGD or sweet and sour gas project experience is preferred
* Familiarity with CAESAR II stress analysis software is an asset
* Knowledgeable in specifying and procurement of all types of mechanical equipment (static and rotating) and packages

### Education & Qualifications

* APEGA P. Eng. - Mechanical Engineering Degree
* Minimum 5 years of oil and gas experience - EPCM background preferred
* Equipment package engineering is a must-have
* Excellent working knowledge of static and rotating equipment design
* Experience with piping and pipeline stress analysis
* Familiarity with ABSA and AEUB regulatory requirements
* Applicable knowledge of industrial codes (CSA, ASME, API)
