Job Title: Clinical Nurse Leader/Nurse Educator

Providence Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Leader/Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Leader/Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of a designated nursing unit or service, supervising staff, and providing clinical support to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the assigned unit or service
  • Supervise staff and provide clinical support to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff and patients/families
  • Provide formal education to other nurses and advise on nursing practice
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds and provide input regarding patient and family progress
Requirements:
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Qualifications required of staff nurse in clinical area, plus three years of recent related experience in clinical specialty
  • Ability to coach and supervise
  • Ability to match skills of staff with clinical needs
  • Ability to identify learning needs and develop educational programs
