Job Summary:

Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment, including cranes, excavators, and bulldozers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and lubricate cranes to ensure optimal performance
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
  • Instruct apprentices on safe operating procedures and best practices
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas
  • Assemble tower cranes on site
  • Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards
  • Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials
  • Operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • 35 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
