Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Independent Supply Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of inventory and supplies throughout our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Processing:
    • Unload and verify vendor shipments and customer returns
    • Process receiving documents and enter received materials into our system
    • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or damage
  • Picking, Packing, and Shipping:
    • Pick and pack items for customer orders
    • Assemble and prepare orders for shipping
    • Complete shipping documentation and ensure timely delivery
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels
    • Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues
  • Warehouse Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with warehouse management software
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
