The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Hampton Park Dental. As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in identifying dental hygiene treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring exceptional oral health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Use best practices for infection control, including instrument processing and treatment room sanitation.
- Conduct medical health history screenings and updates.
- Perform baseline and routine assessments, including full mouth charting, probing, and oral cancer screening.
- Take radiographs and impressions as prescribed by the dentist.
- Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.
- Develop personalized dental hygiene treatment plans, including preventive care scaling, prophy, and fluoride applications as required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, plaque control, and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
- Manage scheduling gaps and assist with booking appointments, recalling outstanding treatment plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues during downtime to optimize clinical efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A diploma or degree in dental hygiene from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the CDHO in good standing.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- A friendly, collaborative personality.
