About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Team Leadership: Establish work schedules, hire food service staff, and provide guidance and support to ensure that the team is working effectively together.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
