About the Role

Bergonia residence is seeking a reliable and caring Live-In Caregiver to join our team. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, while also ensuring their personal hygiene and social development.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, while promoting positive behavior and values.
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their cognitive and emotional development.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, providing reliable transportation and support.
  • Help children with homework, promoting their academic success and development.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
  • Proficiency in English or French, with the ability to communicate effectively with the family.
