Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at Summit Transport & Hauling Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting in the repair and maintenance of our heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of heavy-duty equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Work with senior technicians to learn new skills and techniques
  • Participate in pre-apprenticeship training to develop your skills and knowledge
  • Screening questions to ensure you are a good fit for the role
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Availability for shift or on-call work
  • Availability for the advertised start date
  • Legal ability to work in Canada
  • Willingness to relocate for the position
  • Residency in proximity to the advertised location
  • Previous experience in the field of employment
