Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at Summit Transport & Hauling Ltd. As a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic Apprentice, you will assist experienced technicians in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment
  • Participate in pre-apprenticeship training to develop skills and knowledge in heavy-duty equipment maintenance
  • Screening questions will be used to assess your availability, experience, and willingness to relocate
  • Participate in a comprehensive health benefits package, including dental, disability, health care, and vision care benefits
  • Work a 40-60 hour workweek, with a permanent work term and English as the primary work language

Requirements:

  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Availability for shift or on-call work
  • Availability for the advertised start date
  • Current legal ability to work in Canada
  • Willingness to relocate for this position
  • Current residence in proximity to the advertised location
  • Previous experience in this field of employment
