Rehabilitation Therapist

Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Assistant will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients, focusing on restoring, maintaining, and improving their functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, and audiologists to provide comprehensive care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote independence and self-management.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
- High School graduation or equivalent, plus a Rehabilitation Techniques Program/Course of over one year and up to two years.
- Experience working with adult patients is an asset.
- Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services.
- Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record.
- Current CPR Level C certification.
- Ability to work efficiently as a team member, with leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Good attendance record and flexibility to work all shifts as assigned.
- High regard for confidentiality and excellent work habits.
- Good computer knowledge and skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
