About the Role

The Assembly Operator is responsible for the assembly of products using assigned welding equipment/machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of quality, operational procedures, and occupational health and safety.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery/equipment by loading single or multiple parts onto fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment within scope of responsibility.
  • Be flexible and open to changes in assignment to provide support to other areas of the department.
  • Train workers in machine-specific training as required.
  • Ensure WIP meets standards.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement process to improve productivity and quality.
  • Alert supervisor/lead hand of any safety, quality, maintenance, or production concerns related to equipment.
  • Perform First Offs and Last Offs as required.
  • Perform visual and documented inspections on parts as required by the customer.
  • Able to operate basic computer functions including software programs and applications.

Requirements

  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Work experience in the Automotive Industry is an asset.
