Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Timekeeper to join our team at Senators Sports & Entertainment. As a Timekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of timekeeping and scorekeeping operations for games held at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timekeeping: Accurately start and stop the clock, add goals, penalties, and change periods using the timeclock.
  • Game Sheet Management: Record goals, assists, and penalties on the provided game sheet.
  • Online Statistics: Transpose game sheet information into online statistics software using the provided iPad.
  • Announcing: Use the provided microphone to announce goals, assists, penalties, and other scripts as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Music and Audio: Play music during warm-ups and stoppages.
  • Communication: Communicate critical issues to the supervisor by radio, such as injuries, major penalties, ejections, and schedule issues.
  • Player Identification: Verify player IDs to determine eligibility when requested by the supervisor.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve on- and off-ice problems professionally and in accordance with league policy.
Requirements
  • Must be 15 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with hockey rules (experience as a player, coach, or referee in organized minor hockey is an asset).
  • Comfortable speaking to crowds of people.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Team player.
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
