Job Title:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Labour and Delivery department at the North York General Hospital.

About the Role:
As a Labour and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to women during labour, delivery, and postpartum. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients during labour, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in labour and delivery nursing.

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
  • Recent breastfeeding course.
  • Fetal Health Surveillance certification, preferred.
  • Perinatal Certificate, preferred.
  • 2-3 years Labour & Delivery experience, preferred.
  • Operating Room experience, preferred.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
