Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Saskatoon. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the dismantling of construction, forestry, and mining-based heavy equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and preparing parts and components for repair and maintenance
  • Organizing and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  • Assisting in the inventory management and maintenance of equipment and tools
  • Collaborating with other shop personnel to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of safe and efficient workplace practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Able to carry out and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a heavy equipment maintenance or repair environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks
  • Previous mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Forklift experience and heavy-duty parts handling considered an asset
