Job Title: Field Heavy Equipment Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our Saskatoon Construction & Forestry team.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical experience, preferably in a heavy equipment environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document work orders, including machine information, actions taken, and time spent.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
