Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner on our Acute Care Medicine Unit for Older Adults, you will play a vital role in providing care to our patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to diagnose and treat patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses, including those with complex medical and psychiatric problems
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of older adults
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and experiences
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
- Completion of the Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Level C
